Founded in 1996, HVE is a Seattle-based consulting engineering firm specializing in MEP design for multifamily, commercial, institutional, and industrial projects across the Pacific Northwest. We are known for delivering thorough, high-quality work and for addressing problems head-on.

Our Services
HVE is a full MEP design firm, offering integrated mechanical, electrical and plumbing system designs for multi-family, commercial, and industrial construction projects. From power distribution to lighting, water systems, and energy code, we deliver integrated, buildable designs that improve project outcomes.
Design of VRF, hydronic, air and wet side systems for office, retail, multifamily, and mixed-use projects. Services include energy recovery, central plants, odor control systems, and energy code compliance calculations.
Design of domestic water, waste and vent, storm systems, booster pumps, central and solar hot water, heat pump hot water, lift stations, grease waste systems, and natural gas systems for a wide range of commercial and multifamily projects.

Gables Queen Anne
325-unit mixed-use development featuring a 45,000-square-foot Safeway and street-level retail in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood. HVE provided plumbing engineering services for the project.
Din Tai Fung -University Village
11,000-square-foot tenant improvement for Din Tai Fung at University Village, featuring a 230-seat dining room and a full commercial kitchen, converted from a parking garage. HVE provided mechanical and plumbing engineering services.
PCC Natural Markets Edmonds
25,525-square-foot sustainable grocery store recognized as the first in the nation to achieve both LEED® Platinum and Salmon-Safe certifications. HVE provided mechanical and plumbing engineering design.
